On the 19th April 2021, we returned (for the third time) to our studio at Fairfield Halls.
Some of our members returned to finish off a film that they started last year, while others (after a 5 month break), have picked up on rehearsals for Jack & the Beanstalk - a show we were determined to realise in person, to a live audience - and the cast from across our youth, adult and Crisis Averted companies have been amazing. Nothing like doing a panto in July!
In fact, all of our groups have been amazing, demonstrating text-book social distancing and it’s been so lovely to return to face-to-face delivery. Although SAVVY will continue to adhere to social distancing and covid-safe policies until the end of the year, it won’t stop us from producing a plethora of events between now an Christmas (yes, that’s right, I’ve said the dreaded ‘c’ word)!
Based on conversations with our youth groups, this May half-term we are hosting So You Want To Be An Actor, a week-long industry intensive for teenagers who are interested in becoming actors. They’ll meet with casting directors, prepare audition monologues, rehearse a group piece and have their headshots done. We can’t wait!
Our YounGrrr Company which is for young people aged 8 – 11 years are hosting a series of free BiteSize workshops for children who also want to try their hand at some drama.
The aforementioned Jack & the Beanstalk is taking place at the Ashcroft Theatre, Fairfield Halls with an inclusive community cast, and we are excited to be working with a professional animator who is creating a bespoke digital set for us.
We are ALSO hosting Signdance Collective, an international dance/theatre company who will be running a free 3-hour workshop for local people, and the best part … no experience necessary! More details on that opportunity coming soon.
But it doesn’t end there … over the summer the amazing artists from Output Arts will be installing an interactive set in our SAVVY Studio at Fairfield Halls, ready for our Take Part members to return in September and start rehearsals for an immersive Grimmly experience … stay tuned!

Hey folks—UK here. A mate sent me a screenshot of a win and I rolled my eyes, but curiosity got me. I’d had a streak of tiny losses and needed something that wouldn’t tempt me into upping bets out of frustration. Mid-chat I clicked https://winolympia.com/en-GB and liked that it felt straightforward rather than noisy. I set a strict budget, kept the same bet size, and treated it like a test session. It started slow, then a feature finally hit near the end and pushed me slightly ahead. I was satisfied mostly because I stopped on time.
For UK players, Slotsnbets Casino is a fantastic choice. The site is well-designed and easy to use, and they offer a huge selection of games from top providers. I’ve had no issues with payouts or withdrawals, and the customer support is quick to respond to any questions. If you're looking for a trustworthy UK casino, this one has it all.
