SAVVYwas
founded by Sheree
Vickers, current Artistic
Director and former
street performer - an
existence that gave her
the ability to take
RISKS!
Through
her early work with
school and community
groups, Sheree noticed
that although the process
of drama could be
exciting and valuable for
the participants, very
often the presentation
was arduous for the
audience, as many of them
only 'woke-up' when
someone they knew was on
the stage.
Therefore, the aim of
SAVVY is to create
theatre that is not only
inspiring and enjoyable
for those involved in its
production, but one that
will give the audience a
worthwhile and memorable
experience also.
Although
based in the Sutton,
Wallington & Croydon
areas of South London,
SAVVY continues to
maintain and build links
further afield and is
always interested to hear
from people and companies
involved in any of the
following:
Youth
& Community Theatre
Puppetry
Masks
Street
Theatre
Circus
Comedy
SEN ... ... in fact,
anyone who believes in
the power of the
performing arts when it
comes to personal growth,
the right of all
individuals to artistic
expression and anyone
involved in the arts who
is prepared to take a
risk and
challenge/question the
'norm' !!
