Take Part

Taking part is at the heart of what we do, providing a rich and exciting programme of weekly workshops and  performance  opportunities for our members.

SAVVY has a ‘no experience necessary’ policy for anyone wanting to take part and there is  no audition process  to join us, just a commitment to weekly attendance, creating exciting theatre projects and having fun!

Co-creation is central to everything we do and we are dedicated to an ensemble way of working, so our aim is to have no more than 15 participants in each of our ongoing weekly groups.  (If we don't have space in a group, prospective members are able to join our waiting list and are given the chance to take part in other workshop opportunities.)

In addition to their own shows, each of our ongoing weekly groups regularly supports each other (both onstage and off-stage), and there are opportunities to take part in our large-scale performance projects, bringing our entire SAVVY family together.

SAVVY aims to create  ambitious  and exciting theatre with youth and  community  casts, raising the personal expectations of both those involved and those who come to watch.

Ongoing Weekly Groups

Each of our weekly groups takes place at our SAVVY Studio, located on the ground floor of Fairfield Halls, Croydon.

What are the fees?

It costs £100 per/term to take part in any of our ongoing groups.

Term fees are due on the first day, or may be paid in two instalments.  We do not charge for additional rehearsals or show days.

As an inclusive company it is important that we find the right group for participants to thrive in. It is also important that new members get to try out SAVVY without worrying about obligation - therefore new
members are able to join us for 2 weeks before the term fees are charged.

PLEASE NOTE: We do not want financial pressures to stop anyone from attending and want to remove any stigma or guilt attached to not being able to pay fees.  SAVVY can offer financial assistance for anyone wanting to take part.

Information for
Support Workers

SAVVY is an inclusive theatre company, producing shows and theatre projects for and with people who have a varied range of abilities. We ask that if people need support whilst in a group, they bring their own support worker to assist them.

All we ask from those who support is that you encourage, participate if needed, and SMILE!
