Wandle Valley: Step-Up Project
“I would like to pass my congratulations to you and your team at Savvy Theatre Company on being amongst the first recipients of the Mayor’s Young Londoners Fund. Your work will make a huge difference to young Londoners and provide them access to opportunities and activities that they may not otherwise have had."
- Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London
SAVVY first started working with Wandle Valley as part of the Carew Manor Project, and over the past 10 years have provided pupils at the school with weekly drama workshops, work experience opportunities and produced their annual school pantomime.
Through this new Step-Up programme, pupils will achieve both AQA and Arts Award qualifications, improving their chance of employment and going onto higher education. With SAVVY relocating to Fairfield Halls in 2019, it will also offer the chance for students to practically test their skills in a real workplace environment and provide access to a wealth of cultural opportunities.
SAVVY is a registered charity and relies on project funding, ticket sales and contributions to our various campaigns, in order to maintain and develop our ongoing programmes of work.
You can contribute today from as little as £1 – it only takes a minute. Thank you.
