Romeo & Juliet

Puppetry and percussion took the lead in this poetic reinterpretation of Shakespeare's ultimate story of love and war. Performed by the Action Replay Drama Group with support from the SAVVY Young Company. This production project was shortlisted for the National "Children & Young People Now!" Award.

The Carew Manor Project

With support from the Heritage Lottery Fund, SAVVY Theatre Company spent 12 months working with pupils at both Carew Manor and Wandle Valley schools, using music, drama, film and related arts to discover the wonderful Tudor history of this Grade1 listed building.

10th Anniversary Showcase

Bringing together a number of SAVVY's ongoing groups and projects, this evening was a wonderful celebration of the company's growth since its beginning as a weekly youth drama group back in 2001!

Based on the life of Brenda Norfield, a local resident who was an evacuee in WWII. This beautiful piece of reminiscence theatre had a cast of local actors with Brenda narrating the show.
The production also used full-face masks that were created by the cast in partnership with Strangeface Theatre.

Another Fine Mess

Performed at the Secombe Theatre and Guilfest, the Action Replay Drama Group used specially made masks, to perform a number of sketches - some funny, some sad, but all devised by the cast to explore a variety of themes from self image to loss, to desire – oh, and there’s a bit of silliness thrown in there too!
