CURRENT
PROJECTS
Here's
some of what the SAVVY Young
Company is up to right now (or
preparing to get up to in the
near future) ...
Celebrating
Surrey Festival
Sunday,
27th June 2010
Watch out theres
a roving bus stop about, with a
long queue of strange characters
all waiting for the number 702.
Will they find love? Will they
make a nuisance of themselves? Or
will they simply continue to read
their newspapers?
Developed as part of the Sutton
Youth Drama Festival in May and
performed by the SAVVY Young
Company, this Commedia delArte
style piece could spring up
anywhere so watch out, or
you could find yourself in an
endless queue, waiting for a bus
that might never appear!

The SAVVY
Young Company will
be supporting this unique event
with their production of A
Midsummer Nights Dream.

Theatre
Trips
SAVVY
Young Company members also have
the opportunity to go on many
theatre trips either locally or
up to London. During the summer
term 2010 they will be seeing A
Midsummer Nights Dream at
Shakespeare's Globe Theatre.
Past
West End shows have included:
STOMP
The History Boys
The 39 Steps
Billy Elliot
On many of these
trips the group has also had the
opportunity to meet with the cast
after the performance.

Aside from any
help needed
with professional auditions or
requirements for
college/university placements,
SAVVY members have the
opportunity to take LAMDA
examinations. These are now a
recognised accreditation and
involve performing in front of an
independent examiner at the
Academy in London.
SAVVY
is also a registered ARTS
AWARD
Centre and many young company
members are currently completing
their Bronze & Silver levels.
