An Evening Of Shared Performance

Wednesday 4th July 2007

FAUST

Inspired by Goethe’s story of Faust, SAVVY members devised their own production with drama, song and movement. This show proved as original and entertaining as their past performances and was also showcased at the Oval House Theatre as part of the London Festival of Youth Arts in May 2007.

WHO STOLE THE JEWELS?

Mask, music and mayhem is perhaps the best way of describing this wonderfully original show by the ALL STARS Drama Group.

During 2006/07 the group performed their own ‘Potted Pantomime’ and stretched theatrical conventions by combining Shakespeare's A Midsummer Nights Dream with ABBA music - a show that was included in the ‘Festival of Learning Disabilities’ at the Croydon Clocktower.

A CHORUS LINE

Following on from their successful 20minute ‘Variety Attack’ performance of Chicago at the Epsom Playhouse in 2006, the group spent time in rehearsals looking at A Chorus Line and exploring what it means to be a performer in today’s voyeuristic ‘reality tv’ society.

The Della Academy runs on the weekends. For details on the main school, specialist classes or the annual summer performance week, contact Della on: 07793-555 210.
