unique workshop challenge that
brought members from two local
drama groups together - Fallen
Angels (where members are aged
50+) and the SAVVY Young Company
(where members are aged 13 to 19
years), in a quest to explore
their experiences of school life.
The
workshop, was also open to anyone
in the local community, to come
along and watch or join in the
fun and formed the early stages
of a collaborative
intergenerational project that
was performed at the Charles
Cryer Studio Theatre in November
2007.
Facilitated
by Sheree Vickers, paricipants
used drama exercises and
techniques to explore different
memories and experiences of
school life. The workshop process
was also be filmed allowing the
different generations the chance
to further reflect upon their
experiences and provided a visual
showcase that formed part of the
group's final performance.
