In 2007 SAVVY Adults started with the aim of giving tuition and guidance to those wishing to study the craft of acting.

Very often, the only option open to adults (not wishing to pursue their interest in theatre professionally) is amateur dramatic groups. Although many of these groups provide rich and exciting environments, there is still often a lack of time to explore and study the craft of acting and other performance techniques.

Where?
Woodcote Room,
(behind) Wallington Halls
Stafford Road, Wallington, SURREY (opp.Sainsburys), SM6 9AQ
Note: There is a carpark directly behind the hall, the entrance to which is situated off Woodcote Road.

When?
Spring 2012 Rehearsal Dates:
7.30 - 9.30pm, 2nd February - 10th May
(excluding 8th March & 5th April)

What?
For 8 weeks every Autumn, members of the adult company study new techniques in preparation for a performance project the following Spring/Summer.

SAVVY Adults is aimed at:
young professionals (aged 19-29years) wanting to further/maintain their performance skills
non-professionals who are wanting to discover more about the craft of acting or are interested in joining the profession
anyone (over 19 years of age) who enjoys performing and the skills it develops

How?
Want To Join?
Because SAVVY is dedicated to quality personal tuition the group aims to have no more than 15 participants at any one time.

There is no audition process, although enthusiasm and commitment are essential.

The cost for the 8 week course every Autumn is £50.00. This is due in full on the first day of the course or may be paid in two instalments.

There is no cost for taking part in the annual performance project, however all cast members must have attended the weekly preparation classes during the Autumn term.

"I found the course to be just the right combination of hard work and good fun and that is not always an easy balance to achieve"

"The best thing about SAVVY is that there are acting roles for all those who want them. I feel I stretch myself more and learn new skills with SAVVY than other companies. Everyone is welcome and their opinions considered."
