In
2007 SAVVY's
Adult Classes started
with the aim of giving tuition
and guidance to those wishing to
study the craft of acting.SAVVY
recognises that EVERY person has
the right to an artistic voice
and that to effectively manage a
successful community theatre
company involves respecting and
valuing each individual's voice.
Very
often, the only option open to
adults (not wishing to pursue
their interest in theatre
professionally) is Amateur
Dramatic groups. Although many of
these groups provide rich and
exciting environments, there is
still often a lack of time to
explore and study the craft of
acting and various performance
techniques.
The
aim of SAVVY's Adult Classes is
to:
- give local
adults the opportunity to
study the craft of acting
in a non-threatening
environment
- to see what
interest there is in the
local community to form a
unique adult performance
company - in accordance
with SAVVY'S
COMPANY'S OBJECTIVES
and based on the
structure and success of
the young company

LANDING ON THE MOON
A SAVVY Community Theatre project
that not only reunited some of
the cast of 2nd From Last
In The Sack Race but gave
young and old the chance to take
part in workshops to devise a
short one act play. This play was
then performed by those involved
in the rehearsal workshops.
